The Ladies Helping Hands Society often coordinates programs, in cooperation with social agencies to educate the Islamic Community on topics of interest, women's health and related issues (ex. pre-natal and post-natal health, infant care, cervical cancer prevention, breast cancer prevention, menopause), children & family health (ex. healthy cooking & eating, early childhood development & parenting, children's dental health, diabetes prevention, dental health, senior health); and others topics like orientation to the Canadian Health Care system, Children Services: What and How does it work, accessing recreation services from the City of Edmonton, financial literacy, education system in Canada and parents' role in children's education, legal system in Canada and the range of issues that are considered legal (civil, administrative, family, criminal laws), community animation & civic engagement (processes to involve our community members in issues that have policy implications).
